The site was created on  the 21st February 2001 and I will be inserting all

the info I can find on :-

The Club History, League Tables, Averages, Players, Fixtures, News, Tours,

     Where we played, etc.

We returned to Dungannon Park for season 2000.

The club had to leave our excellent ground at SHIELLS FIELD

(DUNGANNON RUGBY CLUB)  because they were going to sell it in the near future.

The COUNCIL through Ian Fraser offered the club a ground in DUNGANNON PARK

WHERE THE CLUB HAD PLAYED FROM 1954 TO 1985.

The square has been top dressed with over 100 tonnes of soil and levelled from 2000 to 2005 mainly by Billy and Chris Adrain

and is now as  good a square as there is in SENIOR 2 and is a credit to their efforts.

The 1st's play in N.C.U. League Div.1,Sect.3 and the

         2nd's play in N.C.U. League Div.2, Sect.3.

Dungannon Park is located on the M1 side of DUNGANNON town

    in Co.Tyrone, N.Ireland.

I'll be updating the site over the coming months and

I hope you'll find the information entertaining.

If you have any suggestions I can be contacted at :-

EDDIE WAS A FOUNDER MEMBER OF THE  CLUB WHICH WAS REFORMED AFTER WW2 IN 1948 .

HE WAS A TENACIOUS LEFT HAND OPENING BAT AND WAS A BIG PART OF THE DUNGANNON TEAM WHICH MOVED FROM JUNION QUALIFYING G IN 1952 TO THE SENIOR QUALIFYING LEAGUE IN 1963, WINNING THE BATTING CUP ON 6 OCCASIONS.

HE ALSO SCORED THE FIRST CENTUARY. HE AND PHIL HOMAN WORKED ON THE GROUND FOR MUCH OF THIS TIME. EDDIE CONTINUED TO PLAY INTO THE MID 1980 S AND CAPTAINED THE SIDE FOR A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS.

WHEN HIS PLAYING DAYS HAD PASSED HE BECAME CHAIRMAN AND LATER PRESIDENT OF THE CLUB.

DCC WOULD NOT EXIST TODAY WITHOUT THE WORK , ON AND OFF THE FIELD, OF THE PEOPLE LIKE EDDIE.

REST IN PEACE  AND HAVE A FEW GAMES IN THAT GREAT CRICKET GROUND IN THE SKY.

YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW YOU

PRESIDENT DES BURROWES HAS ALSO DIED EARLIER IN THE YEAR. DES WAS A GENTLEMAN AND A GREAT SERVANT TO DUNGANNON CRICKET CLUB. HE WAS AN ELEGANT BATSMAN WHO PLAYED BEAUTIFUL DRIVES WHEN SET AND SCORED THE SECOND OR THIRD CENTURY FOR THE CLUB. HE WAS A PAST CAPTAIN AND OUR PRESIDENT FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS. HE ALONG WITH EDDIE AND PHIL WERE THE MAINSTAY OF DUNGANNON BATTING FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. HE PLAYED INTO HIS SIXTIES AND PLAYED FOR MID ULSTER CUP WINNING TEAMS AS WELL AS THE QUALIFYING CUP TEAM IN 1959.

HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM . HE WAS ALSO A 9 HANDICAP GOLFER AND WON THE FIRST CLUB GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP IN 1974 AT BUSHFOOT. I AM SURE EDDIE AND DES WILL HAVE LOTS TO CHAT ABOUT IN THE BIG CRICKET GROUND IN THE SKY.
